To All The Boys I've Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jeans discover that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from her summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
I have been eyeing for this book ever since the first time. The cover is very simple yet beautiful that is one of the reasons why I want to read it. Even the title of the book sounds cute. From that moment, I'm pretty sure that I should read this, I have to read To All The Boys I've Loved Before.
To All The Boys I've Loved Before tells the story of Korean-American girl, Lara Jean - a junior high school who lives with her dad and her two sisters. Long story short, she write a goodbye letter to all her crush but no intention to give it to the boys instead she keep it safe in her hatbox given by her late mother however, one day, all the letters that were been very well hid by Lara Jean has been mail to every boy she has written in the letters and things has become awkward with one of the boys while the other boy has become her fake boyfriend.
Things happened right after her older sister, Margot leave for her college in Scotland and Lara Jean is now responsible in taking care of her little sister, Katherine (exactly like my sister's name except she is Katherina lol ) also her dad. Lara Jean, she is definitely more to an introvert person - enjoy reading books, enjoy being at home which opposite to Peter, her fake boyfriend, who is much more outgoing. He just recently broke up with Gen (used to be Lara Jean's BFF). While Josh - Margot's ex-boyfriend is the next person who received that letter which makes Lara Jean crush into a panic moment which leads to having a pretend relationship with Peter.
Anyway, this book is definitely one of the books that I enjoy reading so much. I don't feel anything heavy while reading this because everything more in steady mode hence, the mood felt so good. What makes it more interesting is that Katherine (Kitty)'s character is really wonderful with her very straightforward answer yet adorable. I think what makes this more even lovely to read because Jenny Han has to balance the story between family and the relationship between Lara Jean and Peter.
