Book Talks | August TBR

Today is Eidul Adha Mubarak and here I am in front of my laptop writing a post. So, Yay! Anyhow, I would like to share with you guys of my August to-be-read which I'd already posted it on my Instagram account - if you have not yet followed me on Instagram, do give it a follow at @infinitywords67, account that is public, don't worry it is not private - I do realize that I should post this on my blog like early August but things didn't go as plan as I got distracted by other things.

But anyway, since it's still August so, let's just do this!

Before that, just want to share with you guys that my last July TBR, I can say that it is 80% successful of me reading books that I'd planned and I hope this month it will 100% successful! But we will see how it goes!

Now, without me ranting too much in this post, let's just begin this journey of me sharing to you my August To Be Read. Here we go;

1. The Secret Seven; Mystery of The Skull written by Pamela Butchart

I have had already read and reviewed it on my blog so, if you want to read it you can click it on the title ↑ The Secret Seven was originally written by Enid Blyton and it has been one of my favourite books so, to read it again now, it feels like all the memories flooding my brain and I truly enjoy and love the book so much. This time around it was written by Pamela Butchart and I still love it. Have you read any books by Enid Blyton?

2. The Island by M.A. Bennett

I have finished reading this week and I have reviewed it on my blog (you may click it on the title). Basically, this book follows seven students who have been stranded on an unknown island and it's like on a Cast Away movie or maybe if you have watched, Lord of The Flies, it's kinda like that. I haven't seen Lord of The Flies yet but I did watch the movie clip about it as soon I saw someone mentioned that The Island is kind of like it so.

3. The Curiosity House #2: The Screaming Statue by Lauren Oliver & H.C. Chester

I have no idea what's this book about though I did read the synopsis. Here a glimpse of the synopsis;  "four extraordinary children must avenge their friend’s death, try to save their home, and unravel the secrets of their past . . . before their past unravels them.."

It is the second book in The Curiosity House (I've reviewed the first book, click here if you want to read it) and kinda excited to see how the book going to surprise me.

4. Playlist For The Dead by Michelle Falkoff

This book I bought for my sister and it has been two years since I'm waiting for my turn to read the book so, here it is. She told me, it was an okay read does not have any wow factor all that though I have to read it first to see how it goes. Again, I have no idea what it is about. Yes, I did read the synopsis TWO YEARS ago and now, I'd already forgotten.

5. Suicide Club by Rachel Heng

I'm trying my best to avoid reading people's review of this book. This book is set on the near-future where death is illegal and I don't think so, I want to go further about the story. Sorry! Suicide Club is a dystopian, sci-fi genre that I am looking forward to reading it after the Firebird series by Claudia Gray.

6. Open Road Summer by Emery Lord

I almost forgot to include this book here as I did not include it in my photo above because I left it in my car and I am too lazy to go downstairs to open my gates. Yes, I'm the laziest person ever after finishing my doing things, I mean, work. Lol That's why it is not included. Anyway, I have read and reviewed it in the first week of August. It's fun, light, summer contemporary about two best friends who are heartbroken. To know what I think about the book, you may click it here.

7. Arrowheart by Rebecca Sky

Another book I have read and review it on my blog (link is at the title ↑). The story is based on Greek Mythology which I would love to read about it so, there are these girls who have the power to make a man fall in love with her. Sounds interesting, isn't it?

8. Love Beyond Opposite by Molly E. Lee (Grad Night #3)

It's an e-ARC that I received from the publisher through NetGalley. This is the third series of Grad Night. It's about a rock star, the world biggest player, Lennon, and Jade, a girl who is mathlete team, kinda nerd and well, let's say the cupid do his job.

But anyway, I think I have reviewed the first series on my blog but I DON'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!! OMG! Thank God, I save it on my Goodreads account so, you may read it here and the second book, you can click it here.

To be honest, this book has been on my kindle for about two months and I think this is the perfect time to pick it up and read it. I'm actually currently reading this book.

Now, that I list it here, I just I have read more than I plan to. Originally, I only planned to read 6 books but seems it goes beyond that anyhow, I hope I am going to stick to what I've planned to read the other three books from the photo I showed because the tendency to pick other books from my TBR list is high. Ops!

Anyhow, Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha, Eidul Adha Mubarak to you and see you in my next post! xx

Pssstt; Have you watch To All The Boys I've Loved Before?? Because I've been watching more than 3 times and I'm planning to watch it tonight AGAIN!!! Of course, to read all the series again.

share your opinion
